Last Supper and Castle tour: what’s included

Two hours with skip-the-line ticket for the Last Supper at Santa Maria delle Grazie, an art history guide and headsets, then a 15-minute walk to the castle for a tour of the courtyards onlyThe castle museums are not includedEnglish only. Names of all participants required at booking, time cannot be changed, arrive five minutes early or entry will be refused, and free cancellation only up to three days before.
What you’re really buying
A Last Supper tour, a good deal, with a castle walk tacked on at the end. I put it first because it’s the option most often booked for the wrong reason: those looking for the castle museums, the Pietà or the Armory won’t find them here. The description says it clearly: the museums are not included, and the castle part is just the courtyards, the same ones open to all from 7:00 to 19:30 without a ticket.
What you do get—and what’s otherwise hard to secure—is a spot in the Cenacolo room: fifteen minutes in front of the Leonardo, with a skip-the-line ticket and an art historian guide with headsets. Then about a fifteen-minute walk to the castle, which is part of the tour, and the courtyards explained. Why I choose it for the Cenacolo, not for the castle.
The meeting point
Outside the Cenacolo museum, at Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie 2, by the orange sign. Not in Piazza Castello: it’s the only one of the six options that starts from a different place, and it ends at the castle, not begins there. If you arrive in Piazza Castello at the departure time, you’ve missed the Cenacolo. From the castle to Santa Maria delle Grazie is about a fifteen-minute walk, the same route you’ll then retrace with the guide. How to get around the area.
You must be there five minutes before the scheduled time, otherwise entry will be refused, and the time cannot be changed. When calculating your journey, include time to find the orange sign, as well as time to reach the square.
The conditions, all of them
There are more than in any other offer, and they must be read in full. The names of all participants are mandatory when booking, and a passport or ID card is required. No food, drinks, liquids, or large bags are allowed in the room, there is no storage, and tank tops are not permitted. Children under two do not need a ticket for the Last Supper but must be in a stroller or carried. The visit is declared wheelchair accessible.
Free cancellation only applies up to three days before, compared to 24 hours for all other offers. If your schedule is still uncertain, this is the deciding factor. What to expect from the dayincluding security checks.

Who is it for, and who isn’t
Ideal for those who prioritize the Last Supper and already understand that the castle part is a guided walk through the courtyards. Suitable for English speakers who already know the date and everyone’s names, and can commit to that time slot.
Not ideal for those who want to see the Pietà Rondanini or the Armory: after the tour, you can buy museum tickets at the castle’s ticket office, but it’s not included and not the focus. Those who want a guided castle tour should choose the Pietà tour. Non-English speakers have four other languages in the other options. And those unsure about the date have three days, not one, to reconsider. All six, sorted by type.
