Option by option

The ticket with digital audio guide, the simplest option, includes two in-app audio guides: one for Castello Sforzesco and one for the city, in Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, and Chinese. You select the language in the app, not when booking. How the audio guides work.

The small-group tour with the Pietà Rondanini, a 1.5-hour certified guide tour with headsets, can be booked in English, Italian, German, French, or Spanish; the language is chosen when selecting the time slot, and a private version is also available. Guided tours.

The 2-hour private tour is in English, German, Italian, French, Spanish and Russian. The skip-the-line private tour, from 2 to 5 hours, is in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Russian. Being private, the language is simply that of your guide. Private tours.

The Last Supper tour with a walk to the castle is only in English, with an art history guide and headsets; for those who don’t speak English, this is a real limitation, as the fifteen minutes in front of the Last Supper are the heart of the program. The Last Supper tour, with all conditions.

The ticket with audioguide and battlements option does not list the app’s languages on its page: not specified. It should be noted for all six that the meeting language matters more than it seems, because instructions on voucher collection, meeting point and checks arrive in that language; those who book in a language they only partially understand risk going to the wrong ticket office, and this already happens often at the castle. The two ticket offices in the square.

Tip

If your language is Italian, French, German or Spanish, the small-group tour is the only option with a real guide who speaks it without needing to go private.

Inside the castle, without booking

At the museum entrance, the castle audioguide is available. For those who don’t need a real guide, the ticket from the counter plus the castle audioguide is the simplest option. Counter or online.
